Connect TikTok Ads to SiteOps

TikTok Ads runs paid campaigns inside TikTok's feed. It lives in TikTok Ads Manager at ads.tiktok.com, which is a separate account from the TikTok app you post videos with. Even if you already have a strong organic profile, the advertiser account is its own thing, with its own login, its own review process and its own billing.

Connecting it to SiteOps puts your ad spend next to your traffic and revenue. Instead of checking Ads Manager in one tab and your analytics in another, you see what a campaign costs and what it brings back on one page.

This guide walks through the whole path: creating the advertiser account, getting through TikTok's review, adding a payment method, linking your organic account for Spark Ads, and finally connecting to SiteOps. If you already have a working Ads Manager account, skip to the connect step.

One honest timing note beyond your own account review: campaign management runs through SiteOps's own TikTok Marketing API app, which TikTok audits once at the platform level (roughly one to two weeks, with business verification). That audit is a SiteOps step, not something you do — but on a fresh app, launching from SiteOps may switch on a little after reporting does.

Sign in with the login that owns the advertiser account, not your personal TikTok app login — they can be different. If the account list on the approval screen is empty, you are signed into the wrong TikTok identity.

If something does not work

I connected but the Ads view is empty
Check three things. First, that the advertiser account you picked during connect is the one with campaigns — logins often have access to several. Second, that the account has actually spent: an approved account with no delivery has nothing to report. Third, give it a few minutes after connecting; the first import is not instant.
My account is stuck in review or was rejected
Open Account settings in Ads Manager and read the status message. Rejections are almost always about business info: the website is down, empty, or does not match the account name. Fix the details and resubmit from the same account. Creating a fresh account with the same details usually gets the same result.
Campaigns stopped spending on their own
On manual payment, delivery stops the moment the balance reaches zero — top up in the Payment section and delivery resumes. Also check the campaign status in the Ads view: if you enabled auto-rules on that campaign, a rule may have lowered the budget or paused it, and the campaign's history will say so.
I cannot use my TikTok videos as ads
Each video needs its own Spark Ads authorization from inside the TikTok app: video settings, then Ad settings or Ad authorization. If a video worked before and stopped, the authorization period likely expired — re-authorize it with a longer period.
The numbers in SiteOps differ from Ads Manager
TikTok reporting settles over several hours, so intraday numbers move. Also check that both are looking at the same date range and time zone — Ads Manager uses the account time zone you picked at sign-up. Compare a full past day rather than today.
